Why does an object feel hot or cold upon touch? On touching with your hands what happens to the direction of flow of heat in both the situations?

when the object is cool and our hands are hot then we feel the object is cold the object is hot and our hands are cold then we feel the object is hot but the hour hand and the object both have same degree of hotness we does not feel it hot or cold

On touching we feel hot or cold because of the receptor neuron present in our hands. On touching the heat flows from the object to the hand.
