Acids undergoes dissociation in aqueous solution to form H+ ions. When electricity is passed through an aqueous solution of an acid, the H+ ions reach the cathode and each H+ ions picks up one electron from the cathode to form H2 gas. Because of this reaction, an aqueous solution of an acid conducts electricity.

When acids are dissolved in water, they breaks to form H+ ions. Since, these H+ ions cannot exists individually, they combine with the water molecules to form hydronium ions (+). These hydronium ions are good electrical conductor and conducts electricity. Hence, aqueous solution of acids conducts electricity.
