During morning and evenings sun is near the horizon, the atmosphere is denser and thick. When the light enter in atmosphere, the light with high wavelength or acc to the size of particle the light with high wavelength bounces back and other light of lower wavelength gets absorbs. The light which bounces back(red and orange) is seen. So there is a change in colour of sky during the mornings and evenings.

Hey Mate If This Hell's Yous
Why do the sun and the sky turn red during sunrise and sunset ... During sunrise and sunset, the rays have to travel a larger part of the atmosphere because they are very close to the horizon. Therefore, light other than red is mostly scattered away. Most of the red light, which is the least scattered, enters our eyes. Hence, the sun and the sky appear red.
