the size of atom due to effective nuclear charge
the effective nuclear remains not same as on losing electron cation become smaller as compared to parent atom

In case of anion there will be electron come in outermost orbital due to there will be lose in energy to make the electron in its orbital therforw

harshit355: sorry but
harshit355: amphoteric oxides are those substances which shows both the behaviour of acids as well as base
harshit355: its nature depends whether it reacts with acid or base
harshit355: example - Aluminium oxide and Zinc oxide

atomic sie decreases because attraction of electron around an atom amd proton inside a nucleous attract each other because of negative chage and positive charge.
