A balloon bursts in space because there is so much pressure in space that the balloon fails to resist it and bursts.

Balloon bursts in space because there is vacuum in space. As there is no air outside the balloon, the air inside the balloon tends to move from a region of high pressure to a region if low pressure. And as a result of which the balloon bursts.
