Why does Bee sting cause pain and irritating ?what reflect can be given in such a case immediately.

♦ Bee sting contains acid → Methanoic acid (also known as Formic Acid ). Due to this reason it causes irritation in the skin resulting in swelling up of the affected area.

♦ One more substance present in sting is Melittin which contributes in adding up to pain and irritation.

→ Baking soda or some alkaline base can be used to neutralise the acid and gives relieve in pain.
