Blood doesn't clot inside the body due to the presence of naturally- occurring anticoagulant heparin, secreted by basophils and mast cells.Heparin released in the blood vessels prevents blood from clotting.
If a clot is formed in body, then it may lead to various health disorders such as thrombosis or stroke. A clot will hinder in the normal blood flow resulting in swelling, reddishness and pain. If a clot is formed in heart, then, it is fatal as heart pumps blood to the rest parts of the body.
