Why does blue colour of copper sulphate solution start fading when a zinc rod is dipped in it.?

Zinc is more reactive than copper that is why when zinc rod is kept in copper sulphate sol., it forms a zinc sulphate sol. and colour of copper sulphate starts fading.

because copper is displaced by its solution, copper sulphate to form zinc sulphate and copper.
