When two bodies are rubbed together there will be a transfer of electrons from one body to the other body. Body losing electrons acquires a positive charge and the body receiving electrons acquires an equal amount of negative charge.

When two bodies are rubbed together there will be a transfer of electrons from one body to the other body. Body losing electrons acquires a positive charge and the body receiving electrons acquires an equal amount of negative charge. Certain bodies, when heated, is electrified by presenting contrary electricities names in two diametrically opposite points. The is called pyroelectric phenomenon.
