Why does bread mould grow profusely on a mould slice of bread rather then and dry slice of bread?

Answer:

The fungus that grows on the bread require moisture and so when a bread is kept open , atmospheric moisture comes in contact with it and thus we see fungus growing on them.

whereas in a dry slice of bread the moisture content is very low thus fungus (bread moulds) can't grow there.
