Why does bread taste sweet after it is chewed for a while?​

The saliva contains digestive juices that break down starch to form sugar . Hence , a starchy substance (that is tasteless) , when chewed for sometime,tastes sweet

it is becouse when bread chewed for sometime , the salivary amylase enjyme in our mouths breaks the starch and convert it into simple sugar (maltose)

now your taste bud on your tongue sense it like sweet!
