why does bread taste sweet when chewed for sometime​

because during chewing our mouth secretes saliva which breaks down the starch in the bread to glucose which is inherently sweet

Answer:

It is because amylase in our saliva reacts with the starch present in the bread turning it to sugar when we chew it for sometime and hence this sugar only make it taste sweet
