Answer:

Carbon forms a large number of compounds because of the following reasons: ... (b) Catenation: Two carbon atoms readily form covalent bonds and this bond is more stable than the bonds formed by the other elements. (c) Carbon atoms have varying bond order and hybridisation that is it can form double or triple bonds.

Answer:

no this is not a question

Explanation:

the question is. why does carbon forms always

covalent compounds ?

and it's answer is ,carbon has 4 electrons in it's outermost shell and this means that the valency of carbon is 4.carbon always forms covalent compounds by the sharing of electrons .Because the force of attraction b/w them is strong that neither they lose 4 electrons to achieve the inert gas electronic comfiguration and nor it gain 4 electrons to achieve the inert gas electronic configuration according to Octet rule .so carbon always do sharinf and forms covalent compounds .

hope it helps you
