A gas evolution reaction is a chemicalreaction in which one of the end products is a gas such as oxygen or carbon dioxide. Gas evolution reactions may be carried out in a fume chamber when the gases produced arepoisonous when inhaled or areexplosive.

hope this helps you

The atoms of these reactants arerearranged when they come into contact with each other and reassembled to form water, carbon dioxide, the gas product, and sodium citrate. In our Alka-Seltzer reaction, the bubbles are the product carbon dioxide
