Why does coercivity increases as particle size decreases?

corresponding the particle size of 96 nm. The coercivity increaseswith increasing particle size and reaches a maximum when theparticle size reaches a critical size and then decreases as theparticle size increases further. This is due to the transition from single domain to multidomain structure.
