CuSO4 + Fe --- FeSO4 + Cu
(blue) (grey) (green) (reddish brown)

When colour of copper sulphate solution colour is blue and iron nails colour is grey and when we dipped iron nails in copper sulphate solution it colour will change green.

It is displacement reaction.

DISPLACEMENT REACTION: the reaction in which high reactive metal displace the low reactive metal is called displacement reaction.

Fe is more reactive metal than the Cu. So, Fe displace the Cu.
