Why does compass needle get deflected when the current through a wire switched on?

The deflection of compass needle by the current carrying wire shows that an electric current produces amagnetic field around it. It is thismagnetic field which deflects thecompass needle placed near thecurrent carrying wire. The greater thecurrent , the stronger will be themagnetic field produced.

Bcoz magnetic field is generated when the current pass through the wire and due to the magnetic field, compass needle get deflected
