The Answer is:
Jim Corbett's name has become synonymous with India's most well-known national parks, as well as the cottage industry that has sprung up around them.
Edward James Corbett CIE VD was a British hunter, tracker, naturalist, and author who followed a small group of army wolves and leopards in India from 1875 until 1955.From guesthouses to hair salons, basic stores to gift shops, Corbett's name lives on in and around the Uttarakhand forests where the famed hunter-naturalist once lived and whose efforts led to the construction of the national park.Corbett bought his first camera in the late 1920s and, inspired by his friend Frederick Walter Champion, began recording tigers. Despite his great knowledge of the forests, photographing the creatures was a difficult task due to their acute shyness. According to popular belief, Corbett never killed a tiger without first confirming that it was killing people. He and Champion were essential in establishing India's first national park, the Hailey National Park in the Kumaon Hills, which was previously named for Lord Hailey.
