Why does current increase in a metallic conductor with an increase in temperature

As the temperature of a metallic conductor increases, the kinetic energy of the electrons of the conductor also increases ,due to which more obstruction is offered to the flowing electrons and hence the current. Therefore,as more obstruction is offered to the flowing electrons, the resistance is increased.

When the temperature of metallic conductor increases, the velocity of free electrons increases but it also cause increase in amplitude of vibration of metallic atoms which cause some extra resistance in the path of free electron. Hence resistance increases with increase in the temperature.
