Why does dilute water not conduct electricity where as rainwater does

Distilled water cannot conduct electricity because it does not contain ions while rain water conducts electricity as it contains ions due to presence of dissolved salts in it.

because dilute water does not contain free electrons whereas rain water contains free electrons which helps to conduct electricity..
