Why does disttiled water donot conduct electricity???

So it is a bad conductor ofelectricity. Distilled water is pure. ... Distilled water cannot conduct electricity because it does not contain ions while rain water conducts electricity as it contains ions due to presence of dissolved salts in it.

because the dielectric strength of distilled water is 65-70 megavolt {MV}/m so it can not Carry the electrical current
