why does dry HCl gas not change the colour of the dry litmus paper,?​

Explanation:

HCl GAS DOES NOT IONIZE TO PRODUCE H+ IONS WHEN NOT IN WATER ....SO IT DOES NOT SHOW ITS ACIDIC PROPERTY..

THEREFORE DOESN'T CHANGE THE COLOR OF THE LITMUS PAPER!!
