As you know there is large amount of OXYGEN in our environment.
You might also know that edible oil is made up of FATS.
The fats present in the oil get oxidised.
Now the question may arrise is that what is oxidation.
OXIDATION- It is the process in which Oxygen is added to substance.
Fats present in the oil get oxidised and the oil becoms smelly.
