In 1931, Albert Einstein wrote to Mohandas K. Gandhi to express his great admiration for the Indian leader’s methods. It was in German as:

Einstein wanted Gandhi's example to go beyond India because he was devastated by the nuclear bombing on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August 1945 which caused a lot of damage in the heart of Einstein. He contacted him and he was so delighted to see the victory by non violence means and he wanted it to be promoted.
