why does election commision have so much power ,is this good for democracy

Yes it is good for democracy.

Preetigupta1: Election commission is the head of election and it is appointed by the president of the India The chief election commissner even not answerable to the president and it is virtually impossible to remove chief of election commission when elections are takes place it is under ec not government.
