No elements EXCEPT CARBON have tetra bond because it has valency 4
also it has property of catenation

mayurshelar: yes because its valency get completet
mayurshelar: so it doesnt have to
mayurshelar: okk??
Pramodpm: carbon is not an noble gas
mayurshelar: yes but by having only single covalent bond it get satisfied valency thus.....
Pramodpm: how it is possible to carbon it have 4valency
mayurshelar: but it combines with any element when it loses 4 electron
mayurshelar: like it combines only with 4 hydrogen
Pramodpm: carbon is an nonmetal as I heard non metals are receives the electron
mayurshelar: in covalent bond elements do not receive or lose electrons they just share them

Thanks for your question !

Some elements in nature do not form tetra bond. Cabon is a kind of such element.

Because, the carbon including i.e. such elements are unstable in nature.

Otherwise, carbon is a metal and can bond with itself with other elements.
