Why does everything I try to open open in microsoft edge and how do I change it?

Ever since the last Windows update, every time I open my pc Microsoft Edge opens up on its own. I have tried resetting and repairing it but nothing works. It is not set as my default browser (never was), It is also not in my startup menu or anything else. Its really annoying. Any one know how to disable it or anything?
