why does flourine from F- ion and sodium from Na + ion but Helium does not make any ion ?

gokulchief: helium has complete outer shell so it does not react to for ions means it doesnot loose electron or gain electrons

because helium is inert or noble gas .Hence helium outer most is filled .Hence this is reason why helium does not make ions

flourine forms F- ion because it gains electron while making bonds and its valency is 1.

Sodium loses electron while making bonds and its valency is 1, as a result it forms Na+ ion.

Whereas Helium's valency is 0 and it shares electrons while making bonds, as a result it does not make any ion
