Why does fractional rate of flow at low values of V tend to differ from its
constant value during the experiment?

This fact can be explained using equation of continuity.

Explanation:

According to equation of continuity:

Av = fractional rate flow  

Now, if we consider area is constant and a very low value of the v then the rate flow will be less as can be seen from the above equation.

But if we have constant area as well as constant value of “v” which is less than or greater than the value supposed above then the value of rate flow will differ from the value when “v” was less.
