Gerard says that the intruder 's entry is highly melodramatic because the intruder is a misbehavious rascal.
He is also a self sp dramatic person , he cannot do anything by simple manner. He looks also so dramatic.
He is also a confirmed criminal who is always trying to fails cop's plans .
Police makes plans but he destroy everything that mean all in vain.
He do anything to achieve his plans by hook or by crook . He is always looking for his mean ., or his aim or his plan .

Answer: Gerard says that the intruder’s entry is highly melodramatic because the latter had entered the former’s home silently, revolver in hand, wearing an overcoat and soft hat. The intruder was looking like Gerard, except for the clothes. The intruder was an absconding criminal and had planned to kill Gerard and then later on impersonate as him.
