• This is story of twelve months. Once upon a time there lived a widow woman, Vilma with her two daughters called Helona and Marouckla. Helona was her own daughter and Marouckla was her husband’s first wife’s daughter.
• Marouckla was very good looking and very kind girl. But she was treated badly by Vilma. All the time she used to make Marouckla to work, on the other hand Helona was treated with extreme care and was very lazy, all the time standing in front of the mirror.
• One day Vilma and Helona decided to send Marouckla out of the house, so they decided to send her in the mountains high so that she would not return back. Helona told Marouckla to bring violets which should be smell.
• But as that was the month of January, she told Helona that they will not be available. But Helona very rudely ordered Marouckla to bring the violets and her mother sent Marouckla out of house and locked the door. So she has to go high in the mountain and after sometime she found there were 12 members sitting in front of a fire. She requested for warming herself.
• So the January who was sitting in the high gave her permission to get warm. Meanwhile he asked the reason of her coming here. Marouckla told she came for violets because it was order of sister and her stepmother. January God gave his seat to March and no sooner all turned into violet trees.
• She plucked all the flowers and thanked and ran to home and gave to her sister. Next day, Helona ordered some sweet strawberries. Marouckla has to struggle a lot and brought home the straw berries with the help of January God.
• The other day, Helona ordered some sweet apples, Marouckla brought, but this time Helona was in wish of some more apples and hence she only went to mountain high and January God asked the reason of her coming.
• But Helona replied that why is he interfering old man. January God got anger and increased the coolness there and Helona could not even move. No sooner all the now covered her. Vilma climbed the mountain to find Helona but she could not, due to heavy cold, Vilma had died.
