Why does HCL show acidic character but not alcohol?​

A Solution of HCL in Water shows acidic behaviour because H+ ions dissociate completely .

Remember, More Number of Ions = More Acidic Behavior & Better Electricity Conduction

Moreover, H+ ions present in Alcohol don't dissociate entirely .

Hence, Alcohol doesn't show Acidic Behavior.

This is the same reason why HCL conducts electricity and Covalent Compounds like Alcohol don't.
