In heart and hand the marshal told that Mr. Eaton is taking to him to Leavenworth to safe the convict from being feeling guilty but at end on the basis of handcuff we get to know who is marshal and who is covict

The glum faced man is telling that Mr Easton is taking him to leavenworth prison because the Marshall should take the Convict to the prison but problem faced man says that Mr Easton is the Marshall
