Why does helium not react with other elements?

We know that every element wants to get Octate state and stay stable. K cell needs 2 electrons to complete it's need. In case of Helium there are complete electrons in the last cell. So it's a neutral gas.If there would be lack of electrons, then it must have reacted with any other element.But due to these reason, it does not.
