Why does HF has high melting point than HCl

Because HF as hydrogen bond.(H---F)

While HCl doesn't have it

Fluorine has smaller sizee compared to chlorine as a result the hydrogen bond between H and F is much stronger than H-Cl.In order to break this extensive intermolecular hydrogen bond between H and F large amount of energy is required.
