Why does hibiscus not bear fruits even though androcium and gynocium are present in it? ?

This is because the seeds will not grow true to the parent plant and will look different from the parent. The fruit of the hibiscus flower is a five lobbed pod or capsule just below the flower. The lobs or pods contain seeds like any other fruit. Hence, the plant does not have any distinct fruit.
