Double circulation of blood is necessary as humans need constant supply of energy to maintain their body needs. However in animals, their body do not use energy to maintain their temperature as the their body temperature depends upon the temperature of the environment.

Answer:

Humans have two circulations Systemic and Pulmonary.

Explanation:

The Systemic circulations essentially allow the diffusal of oxygen and Carbon dioxide between the RBC's and organs.

Pulmonary circulation allows the lungs to diffuse Oxygen to the RBC.

Hence, both circulations (together called as double circulation) are important for normal functioning of the body.
