neutron's are the particles in the nucleus of any atom that don't have any charge. the normal hydrogen atom [H]  does not have any neutrons in its tiny nucleus. this smallest atom has only one electron and one proton.deuterium is a hydrogen atom that have an extra neutron and tritium that has 2 extra neutrons rather than the normal hydrogen atom.

Because it is stable without a neutron 1H0
Hydrogen has many isotopes like
H-1 (0) | H-2 (1) | H-3 (2) | H-4 (3) | H-5 (4) | H-6 (5) | H-7 (6)
hydrogen | number of neutrons per isotope
