A molecule of H is formed by the combination of two atoms of H with one electron each present in 1s orbital.

The positive value of bond order indicates that the H2 (diatomic)molecule is stable.

Answer

The electronic configuration of Hydrogen atom is 1s^1 i.e , one electron less than the stable inert gas configuration is helium. Hence to achieve a stable state it's electron with electron of another hydrogen atom and forms a diatomic molecules.
