Why does hydrogen occurs in a diatomic formrather than in monoatomic form under normal conditions?

This happens because it shows resemble properties like non-metals ,i.e. occurring in diatomic form in normal conditions.

◆Hydrogen atom has only one electron and thus has one electron less than the stable inert gas configuration of helium. Therefore, to achieve stable inert gas configuration of helium, it shares its single electron with electron of other hydrogen atom to form a stable diatomic molecule
