why does ice become water at room temperature

at room temperature the hydrogen bonds uses the heat as energy which results in the break down of hydrogen bonds that had resulted in the formation of solid ice. when these bonds starts breaking, thermal energy increases and thus this breakage of bond results in the change of state from solid ice to liquid water.
