why does ice float on water?compane the volume of two gases filled in 8 litre and 10litre cylinder repectively

density of ice is less than water
density of ice =0.9 water=1.0
I've floats keeping 10% of its volume above water

ice floats in water because in the ice it has air molecules inside its composition between the solid particles of ice which gives it a cage like structure n thus because of air particles it floats.....

I think 8litre vl have less gas volume than 10litre
