INERT GASES ARE KEPT IN GROUP 18 BECAUSE THEIR VALENCY CELLS ARE ALREADY COMPLETED, THEY NEITHER LOSES OR GAINS ELECTRONS AND HENCE ARE UNREACTIVE.
