why does intake of penicillin does not effect human cells?

No harmcomes to the human host becausepenicillin does not inhibit any biochemical process that goes on within us. Bacteria can also be selectively eradicated by targeting their metabolic pathways.
Penicillin affects the cell wall of prokaryotes. Human cells are eukaryotes . Actually, penicillin affects the prokaryote's ability to form the peptidoglycans that make up their cell walls. Eukaryotic cells (human and any other animal cells) don't contain peptidoglycans.
