As Human have eukaryotes and do not have cell walls. Actually, penicillin affects the prokaryotic cell which have cell walls.

Overdose of penicillin affect human cells. The wall of prokaryotic cell will broke up and may results in many dangerous symptoms. Antibodies will be killed and good microbes.
But a few penicillin can't affect human cells. Because Human body produce Antibodies to fight diseases and control blood cells.
