hello there !!!

Ionic compound is formed by the transfer of electron from one atom to another in between two dissimilar atoms with different electronegativities ...

Ionic compounds are generally solid in nature...
They have high boiling and melting point because in ionic bond the atoms are bound to each other with high electrostatic force ... that's why their melting and boiling point is high....

Ionic compounds are generally soluble in polar solvent bbut insoluble in non polar solvents....
Like e.g NACL ------> Na+ ------CL-

Aqueous solution of Ionic compounds are good conductor of electricity.... because in the aqueous solution the ions or charged particles or positive and negative charge can come in motion or come in movement and they move randomly ... So , they conduct electricity.....

Ionic compounds undergo or give ionic reaction which are very fast in nature....

hope it helps you
