Ionic compounds ar polar and petrol or Keroaene are non-polar compound. Ionic compounds(Polar compound) have free electrons, on the other hand non-polar compound do not have movable free electrons.

As a result, ionic compound dose not conduct electricity in Petrol or Kerosene.
