Fruits can be easily cut with a sharp knife because the pressure applied on it with the same force gets applied on a very small surface area. Hence the force is more if fruits were to be cut with a blunt knife the surface area in touch with the object would be more and hence the pressure would be less.The more the surface area the less the pressure. That is why when we cut fruits with the sharp object the surface area in contact with the object is very less and so all the pressure is applied on that small surface area.
