Why does it hurt when someone is pulling your hair and why does it not hurt when we go for a hair cut

because our hairs are made up of dead cells when we take a haircut due to this reason that they are made up of dead cells they doesn't hurt us but when hairs are pulled it hurts as our hairs are attached with the skin at our top of the head, when hairs are pulled the skin gets hurt at top of the head and feels pain at .

Hair is made up of proteins, which are dead cells. They are attached to the scalp with living cells, from where they grow. So, while getting a haircut a person does not feel pain because dead cells are being cut, but when it is pulled from scalp the living cells are also being pulled along.
