 because it has grown slowly consuming the earth, rising out of it, feeding upon its crust and absorbing years of sunlight, air and water.

It takes time to kill a tree because a tree is well nourish and has strong roots and barks which makes it hard to kill it immediately.

A tree can be killed only if you pull out its roots beneath the ground.
